Inaugural award given for leadership and service to Boston’s real estate community

BOSTON, Mass. – March 14, 2012 – Margulies Perruzzi Architects, one of Boston’s most innovative architectural and interior design firms, is proud to announce that Marc Margulies, AIA, LEED AP, has been named the 2011 Collaborating Professional of the Year by the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA). The award, new this year to CBA’s annual Achievement Awards, recognizes a collaborating professional whose professionalism, leadership, education, service, philanthropy, and vision have benefited members of the real estate community. CBA’s 2011 Achievement Awards were presented at a gala event held at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston on March 8th.

Marc Margulies is an award-winning architect, community leader, real estate industry mentor, and philanthropist. Marc founded Margulies Perruzzi Architects in 1988 and has grown it into one of Boston’s largest and most respected architecture and interior design firms. A recipient of numerous design, industry, and community service awards, Marc is recognized for his leadership in the real estate community and serves on the Boards of CBA, CoreNet, and NAIOP Massachusetts. Marc is also very involved in community and philanthropic endeavors, most notably Heading Home, one of the Boston area’s largest agencies devoted to helping the homeless. For more than 15 years, he has served as both volunteer and director, and currently serves as chairman of the Board of Directors.
