BOSTON, Mass. – November 18, 2011 – Margulies Perruzzi Architects, one of Boston’s most innovative architectural and interior design firms, today announced the promotions of Monica Moreira, LEED AP and Dianne A. Dunnell, IIDA, LEED AP to the position of Senior Associate, and Cynthia Gibson Murphy and Marnie Glover, LEED AP to the position of Associate within the firm.

“This talented group of designers has demonstrated their commitment to the profession and to the firm’s success,” said Marc Margulies, AIA, LEED AP, principal of Margulies Perruzzi Architects. “With their talent, design acumen, and commitment to client service, our new Associates and Senior Associates will help lead MPA as it continues to grow.”

Monica Moreira, LEED AP ~ Promoted to Senior Associate
As a LEED accredited professional with over 17 years of industry experience, Monica is an integral member of the MPA team. Since joining MPA in 1998, Monica has been a project manager and detail designer for many high profile projects. Her most recent projects include the award-winning 335,000 square foot office building campus at 175-185 Wyman Street in Waltham for Hobbs Brook Management, as well as the recently completed 190,000 square foot corporate headquarters for Forrester Research in Cambridge. Additionally, Monica’s experience spans a variety of industries, working closely with leaders such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Fidelity Investments, and Akamai Technologies. A director of the Wentworth Alumni Association Board and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Monica received a Bachelor of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.

Dianne A. Dunnell, IIDA, LEED AP ~ Promoted to Senior Associate
Dianne is a NCIDQ certified interior designer with over 17 years of design experience. Since joining MPA in 1999, her roles include project designer and manager, working with clients to provide programming, space planning, interior architectural design, FF&E selections, project coordination between project team members, leasing documents, as well as participating in the project bid process and overseeing construction. Dianne has worked on a variety of projects in the retail, corporate and hospitality markets including clients such as Fallon Clinic, Covidien, and Harvard University. Dianne is currently primary interior designer for Philips North America, a 40,000 SF interior tenant fit-up converting traditional workspaces to innovative workplace. Most recently, Dianne was primary interior designer for the design of over 400,000 SF of new space for Wellington Management in Boston. A member of the International Interior Design Association, Dianne received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Endicott College.

Cynthia Gibson Murphy ~ Promoted to Associate
As a project manager at MPA, Cyndy is responsible for supervising the project design progress and coordinating with consultants on many large-scale projects. Cyndy’s lighting design experience and attention to detail are well respected on all of her projects. She has also been tasked with ensuring the firm is using the most current design and production software available. Since joining MPA in 2003, Cyndy’s project experience includes work for the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, Real Estate Capital Partners, Edgewood Retirement Community, Silicon Valley Bank, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Cyndy received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Marnie Glover, LEED AP ~ Promoted to Associate
An interior designer with 17 years of professional experience working with corporate and commercial clients, Marnie is well versed in project management, programming, design development, and document and consultant coordination. A native of Canada, Marnie has professional experience working in both Canada and the United States. Since joining MPA in 2004, Marnie has worked on such projects as Liberty Mutual, ManuLife Financial, and Middlesex Savings Bank. She studied advanced interior design at Algonquin College, and has also completed coursework in ergonomics.
