After a major tenant moved out of Maynard’s historic Clock Tower Place, Saracen Properties saw an opportunity to reinvigorate the mill building and create a new, 50-acre mixed-use development with over 1.1 million square feet of office, retail, and open space (and plans for future adjacent residential developments).

MPA’s master plan removed key outdated buildings to create green spaces and sight lines to the mill pond. Boutique retail and galleries activate the pedestrian level; visitors can stroll across a scenic boardwalk to an artisan brewpub. Far from its previous status as an out-of-mind water feature and some asphalt between buildings, Mill & Main will be a vibrant place where both people who work there and residents of Maynard and surrounding towns will be drawn in to enjoy themselves.
